His Freedom Reigns Christian Church was established and founded in 2004 by Pastor Barbara Cannon.  The ministry began with a calling from God to Pastor Barbara to leave her job of 15 years and her church that she had attended for over 10 years and to follow the Lord in full-time ministry.  Obeying this leading of the Lord was a step of faith for Pastor Barbara as she did not have the finances to begin a church ministry nor a following of people.  At the time, she had her family and two other families who supported her in this effort.

With a small group of believers, church services were held in a member’s home.  In the first home service, a dove flew down on the driveway and walked around the perimeter of the house while everyone watched in amazement.  The Lord gave a prophetic sign that signs, wonders and miracles would follow this ministry, and we have witnessed miracles of healing and deliverance.  In several months the ministry had its 501C-3 designation from the IRS as a charitable organization and moved into a storefront building in McDonough.  Two months later the Lord opened a door to move closer to the city and increased the building space.  Two years later, the Lord again expanded the building space by miraculously moving the ministry into the present location on the McDonough Square.

The progression of this ministry has been one of from faith-to-faith and from glory-to-glory.  The heart of this ministry has been the love for Jesus, love for God’s people, and a love of worshipping the Lord.  It is also the heart and vision of this ministry to fulfill the Lord’s great commission “to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
