“FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS”, the Lord birthed
the vision for this ministry in Pastor Barbara Cannon’s heart in 2004. It was through a calling from God to preach
and minister to his people through the power of the Holy Spirit that this ministry was established.
From the inception of the ministry, there have been visible signs
from the Lord confirming his call on Pastor Barbara . The commission the Lord gave her for this ministry is Isaiah 61:1 which
states, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he
hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that
are bound. The Lord has anointed this Pastor and ministry to share his love and to set the captives free. Since the
beginning of the ministry, many lives have been transformed and changed by the fire anointing on her life and her ministry
team.
Now in 2010, we are
at the threshold of entering this commission in greater measure as this ministry is experiencing a greater presence and power
of the Lord in our services for healing and miracles.
Pastor
Barbara’s messages are many times prophetic in nature since the Lord has placed an apostolic/prophetic anointing on
her life. The Lord has equipped her to minister his word and truths through revelation from the Holy Spirit enabling her to
equip the saints in practical application of God’s word for victorious living.
For more than 10 years, the Lord has been preparing Pastor Barbara
for ministry. She was involved in ministry outreach in the Church of God, her home church, and President of the Southside
Chapter of Aglow International. It was through leadership positions and ministry opportunities over this span of time
that the Lord trained and taught her to follow him and developed the calling on her life. Her husband, Mike of 37 years, 2 sons,
daughters-in-law, and 2 grandchildren love the Lord serving with her in the ministry.
